About

Located north of Cabo Cabrón, Piedra Bonita is one of the most spectacular and unusual diving spots in the entire northeast region, available to advanced divers. Also known as La Torre, or the Tower, and accessible from the coast of Las Galeras, the dive begins at 60 meters (197 feet), after an initial free fall of 30 meters (98 feet). Strong currents then push divers around this huge rock covered by sponges, giant gorgonians, and corals. Here you’ll spot sea turtles, wrasse fish, porcupine fish, and boxfish as they swim past Piedra Bonita and into the open waters of the Atlantic.
